The County Treasurer is the custodian of the county’s revenues and maintains records and reports of both revenues and expenditures.  It is the County Treasurer’s responsibility to ensure that monies received are apportioned correctly and as required per state statues.  Some monies held by the treasurer may be invested for the profit of the county as directed by the County Commission.  Computer accounting reports, bank statements and investment reports are reviewed monthly for accuracy.

The County Treasurer is the custodian of monies collected for the various taxing entities within the county (schools, ambulance districts, library, fire district, etc.) and is responsible for the proper disbursement of those funds.  Semi-annual settlements of receipts and disbursements are compiled and presented to the County Commission for review and inspection.

Office Hours are 8:30 am  - 4:30 pm (closed for lunch noon - 1:00 pm)
