APRIL 28th, May 5th and May 12th, 2022 @ 9:30 am in the Ralls County Commission office:

On April 21st, 2022 Wiley Hibbard made a motion for the county to hold 3 public meetings for comments regarding the county taking over maintenance of Sunburst, Bannister, and Hays Road due to flooding and safety issues. John Lake seconded the motion. The public meetings will be held on April 28th, May 5th and May 12th in the Ralls County Commissioner’s office at 9:30 am. Written comments may also be submitted to the Ralls County Clerk via email to: rallsclerk@rallscountymo.gov.

A public hearing is set place on Thursday, May 12th, 2022 at 9:15 am in the Ralls County Commission Office, for a Utility Permit Application submitted by Marion County PWSD #1 for work potentially being done on Pecan Road in Ralls County in the Ralls County Commission office. 


BOARD OF EQUALIZATION TO REVIEW PROPERTY VALUES

Kristal Hiner, Clerk of Ralls County, announces that the Board of Equalization will begin meetings at 9:00 a.m., July 21st, 2022, at the historic Ralls County Courthouse to hear those who disagree with the values of real estate and personal property established by the Assessor.

The first process for a tax appeal would be an informal hearing with Assessor Josh Ketsenburg to exchange information and discuss the value of your property, he can be reached at (573) 985- 3292. Then if a resolution cannot be reached, please contact the County Clerk’s Office at (573) 985-7111 to request the appeal forms.

Property owners who wish to appeal their assessments must make an appointment no later than July 8th, 2022. Property owners appearing before the board should be prepared to present evidence to establish what they believe to be the correct value of their property. If after a decision of the board, the property owner is still dissatisfied with the assessment, the appeal may be heard by the State Tax Commission and thereafter to the Circuit Court.
